Hi everyone! As you may notice on my posts, I am no huge fan of superhero films. It might sound weird, but in all honesty, I always find my heart thumping a little too loud when I watch these movies. All the thrill makes me anxious and nervous! Haha!
Anyway, Mark, on the contrary, enjoys these movies so much that I am slowly turning into a fan. A few months back, I have sworn to myself that before I turn 23, I must be able to watch at least all the latest of Marvel/DC/Superhero films that I fail to enjoy when I was younger. I am also trying to at least watch all the prequels of the latest movies before it hits the theater, so I could watch them with Mark without feeling all lost. Talk about love!
One of the superheroes that I love the most, even before I decided to dedicate myself to watching action films, are the X-Men. I even imagined myself turning into a mutant when I was younger, having all those superpowers and maybe changing the world. I definitely loved Mystique's ability to change forms, and Storm's super cool weather controlling power. This year, my beloved mutant idols are back on the big screen with X-Men: Days of Future Past.

The title seems intriguing, right? What do they really mean when they said it's "future past"? Well, NuffNang PH has brought this title to a whole new level by giving out free tickets for a block screening of X-Men by simply answering this question: 'What would you correct from your past to save the future?'
I guess, for me, what I learned in my experiences is to stop trying to be a superhero for everyone. I always wanted to make a change, and I always try my best to help people who are in need. I may not be the number one person to ask for monetary help, for I am almost always broke myself, but if you need someone to listen to you, I guess I could be that person at any time of any given day. I love listening to people's stories and to give away advice to those who I think needs it. However, a few weeks back, I realized that people would still choose to not change, no matter how much you try to help them do it. Sometimes, people are self-destructive, and they choose to be that way. No matter how many advice or support you give them, there is no assurance that they would do it, much more, to appreciate it.
If I were to correct something from my past, this would probably be it. I am no superhero, and even if I may lose it all, or even if I go beyond what I could give just to make you feel comfortable, it will never be enough to make someone change. I guess having my superhero complex is something nice and destructive for myself, and I really don't want to lose it, but I guess what I really wanted is to finally say when it is already enough, and to finally say 'no' when I know that there's already no more point in doing something.
Enough of the drama, we're being side tracked (and not to mention, sad and serious!) here. Haha! I'm no superhero, but the X-Men sure is! Catch them on the big screen this May.
For those of you who want to score some free tickets, NuffNang's giveaway is still on going. Just visit this link and follow the instructions. Good luck everyone!
