Instax Wanderlaunch: Introducing the New Addition to the Instax Family!

Earlier this month, I covered the Instax Wanderlaunch at Vanilla Cupcake Bakery for Sister Secrets PH. I have been drooling over Instax for years now, but I never took the chance to buy my own, dreading that I might not use it as often because I won't be able to buy the films as much as I want to. Anyhow, as I stepped inside the Instax Wanderlaunch, I realized that I don't really care much about films or practicality or whatever -- I still want an Instax camera no matter what they say. It doesn't matter if I have to spend 300+ pesos just to buy a box of film, and it doesn't matter if I'm not great on scrap booking and artsy stuff, the only thing that I know is that I WANT IT. SO. BAD. I'm considering to get one as a Christmas present to myself, but I'm still scouting for the new color of Mini 90 (which you'll see later on this post!).

The Instax team were generous enough to treat us with a sumptuous dinner plus a cupcake buffet (!!!) care of Vanilla Cupcake Bakery. They also prepared fun games and an awesome raffle that involves a lot of cameras (which I wasn't able to win. Boo.)

Of course, the highlight of it all was the unboxing of the new addition to the Instax family. They unveiled two new colors for the Instax Mini 8, the new color for the Instax Mini 90, the latest Instax Wide 300, and the limited edition Hello Kitty Instax. The program was rather short, but very insightful. Mr. Takuya Maeda, Assistant to the President of Fujifilm, gave us a quick glimpse of the history of the Instax cameras. I cannot believe that it's just 16 years old, though! He also explained to us how the cameras worked, and gave free films to those who are bibo enough to answer his questions. I really enjoyed his talk, because he's all animated when he explains, plus he's really funny! He reminds me of my previous bosses from that Japanese company that I used to work with. He he.

I was lucky enough to be able to seat with the bibo bunch, who made my Instax Wanderlaunch experience more interesting. We were very game with almost everything (read: games, prizes, and everything else), not to mention, very noisy as well. Did I also mention that I get to meet Camie, the girl that I've been following since I was what, 15? I got the chance to actually talk to her and hang out (if that's what it is) with her even for just a bit.

And of course I had to take a photo. Ha ha!

Enough of taking the spotlight, here's the latest line up of the cameras! Bring out your hankies because you are about to drool to these gorgeous looking bunch.
